Dining In

What in your home evokes a sense of PEACE? Is it color? The way your furniture is arranged? I love this picture of a dining room. The earthy colors of blues and greens among a backdrop of white is very comforting and clean . The slipcovered settee and chairs in a soft-hued linen warm the "could-be" coldness of the iron rail, stone table-top and planter base, and starkness of white. I can see deep conversation, light-hearted humor, or an intense game of cards in this setting. All that's lacking are the hors d'oeuvres and fruit tea!
